Iowa Baseball home opener
The Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team opened their 2025 home season at Duane Banks Field on Monday, March 3 against DIII Loras College. As most mid-week games go, coach Rick Heller used an array of pitchers to give them work and, for some, to build some confidence as the team heads quickly towards B1G play.
Fueled by a 4-run 1st inning and then a 6th inning Blake Guerin home run, the Hawkeyes soundly defeated the Duhawks 11-3.
